Petrol Pressure washer

Here is another one of those review that has nothing to do with speedtraps but is a great product never the less.

I was sent a Petrol Pressure washer for review and this one is a great bit of kit for its price of £249. Its a self build product in that you have to put all the framework together and mount the motor/pressure unit. It takes less than 15 minutes to put together and everything was there in the box.

Instructions were clear and easy to understand.

Now under normal circumstances I would have never considered using a petrol pressure washer but after using this one I am a convert. The real beauty about this one is that it will take water from a water butt or water container with no problems or from a hose as normal. In the summer we use the water collected in the water butts to water the garden and in the winter they just sit there over flowing and rarely get used, so now I can use the water from them in the winter

The unit in use is great, the motor starts with ease and is no louder than a electric pressure washer, or at least the electric one I have which is quite loud. I connected the unit to the hose the first time round and the pressure from the lance is fantastic. With a water butt connected I notice no real difference. The volume of water is far more than the other pressure washer I have and this is what does the cleaning. (the more volume the greater the push, better cleaning in simple terms)

The advantage of a petrol pressure washer is very apparent when you want to use it where you have no water supply. I lent it to a mate that does motor cross and he never used to clean his bike after the event on site, he always brought the field home with him to annoy the wife. Now he has two 5 gallon water containers in the van that he uses with the pressure washer to remove the mud before he comes home.

The first time he used it on site and then came home his wife asked if he had been racing as the bike was so clean. She had not seen the pressure washer go in the van.

The lance is controllable for pressure and size of jet, there is a chemical feed for taking a detergent solution out of a can at the same time during washing.

Lots of accessories are also available such as a Turbo Lance, Pipe Cleaning kit, Rotating Brush and a Sand blasting kit.

This is a great pressure washer as is very user friendly.
