This is Super cool software is used to upgrade your TomTom Navigation system to give you a much better safety warning database. I never found the TomTom database to be very good or informative and this software from Novus is long overdue. You now can have decent warnings on your TomTom navigation system. TomTom have long been the leaders in small portable navigation systems but they have never done the speed camera warnings in any serious way letting the unit down.
At £39.99 it may sound allot but if you consider that Tom Tom charge anything up to £10 per month for camera information and you don't get the features you get with Talisman then £39.99 a year is a good deal.
This software allows you to upgrade your TomTom into a Novus Talisman Powered TomTom, you will retain all the functions of your TomTom and gain the award winning managed Novus speed camera and safety warning database.
Installing.
Its dead easy, install it and that's it. You can update the database whenever you want. The software has a 12 month licence.
If you don't want to do it via USB it can be done via a card reader on the SD card.
The warnings.

Talisman warns the driver of an approaching speed camera by an initial voice alert at approximately 500 yards.

Talisman displays at the top of the TOM TOM screen the speed limit associated with the speed camera and the speed camera type.

If at 200 yards the vehicle is over the speed limit, Talisman will advise the driver to reduce speed.

Talisman sounds an alert as the speed camera is passed.
The screen shows various symbols to inform you on what you are approaching. It is speed and direction sensitive, you only get warnings when you need them. Voice alerts are very clear and natural. There is a speed camera only mode that will only alert you of Speed Cameras, Mobile sites, Red light Cameras and SPECS and not Blackspots.
This software dramatically improves the warnings you get on your Tom Tom. One you have installed it you will see a whole new world of speed camera warnings.
