Burton upon Trent Flood Images.

Weather data is not available for the images below. They are taken when Burton upon Trent suffered some quite severe weather. Reports in the papers claimed Burton and parts of Derby had a Tornado pass through. 6/1999

The damage was extensive in some parts of Burton upon Trent, mainly to homes and office premises. In my life time so far I have never seen anything like it. One image springs to mind the most, standing on Henhurst Hill and watching what could only be described as a river flowing down the road. It was so deep in places that cars were almost covered to the roof line.

Some cars had been washed off the owners drives. Even fire engines were caught out with the depth of water in some places.
